I went with a light cel-shaded look because 1) I'm using this as a reference sheet for my doujinshi, and 2) I didn't want a lot of distracting detail. I'm still very pleased with how it came out. One aside on Khri's uniform -- it's boring. It's supposed to be boring. Her original concept was very anti-Mary Sue, and I wanted her to stand out as an original character rather than for an outlandish wardrobe or hair style. The fact her uniform is simple is a reflection of the power of her position as Battle Commander - no salad is necessary. The color and cut says it all. I had a lot of fun with this project. I've never done the backside of a character, and I should've known better, given her blasted braid!  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. What's up people lots of respect to all the fine artists here on DA.
Rainbow skirts...some of the fangirl getups are truly frightening. Khri is covered from the neck down because it was anti-Mary Sue *and* it was practical for her character. 'Sides, I don't have to draw cleavage that way!
