I went with a light cel-shaded look because 1) I'm using this as a reference sheet for my doujinshi, and 2) I didn't want a lot of distracting detail. I'm still very pleased with how it came out.

One aside on Khri's uniform -- it's boring. It's supposed to be boring. Her original concept was very anti-Mary Sue, and I wanted her to stand out as an original character rather than for an outlandish wardrobe or hair style. The fact her uniform is simple is a reflection of the power of her position as Battle Commander - no salad is necessary. The color and cut says it all.

I had a lot of fun with this project. I've never done the backside of a character, and I should've known better, given her blasted braid! :giggle:

Wow, I didn't know she was so old! Haha. That's very cool, and I like her simplistic look. The absence of Mary-Sue-ish rhinestones, rainbow tiered skirts, and thong underwear is definitely a good thing...

I've tried to write a lot of age into her character but that is VERY tricky, especially since Piccolo doesn't know just *how* much older she is and he tries not to think about it. It shouldn't bother him -- his fusion with Kami knocked some age-begotten wisdom into him!

Rainbow skirts...some of the fangirl getups are truly frightening. Khri is covered from the neck down because it was anti-Mary Sue *and* it was practical for her character. 'Sides, I don't have to draw cleavage that way! :XD:
