Farscape's Ka D'Argo by Kieri Farscape's Ka D'Argo by Kieri
Another one of my older pieces, created during the first season when there was very little source material to work from. Like my other pieces, D'Argo was done freehand on bristol by pencil, then inked using stippling (yes, the whole *#(&@# thing is stippled!) with Staedler permanent pigment liners.

I can't believe you stippled this entire thing, D'Argo looks simply amazing!

I feel your pain on the stippling end. I did an 8 x 10 stippling reproduction of the 2010: the Year we make contact poster with the star child...I hurt after that. took me 2 and a half weeks...

This is great.

Sheesh...somewhere in DA's formatting shuffles the big file has disappeared. I'm going to check out some of my older pieces and see if they're glitchy too. What's the point of all that stippling if nobody can see it?? Thanks for the nudge or I wouldn't have bothered to look.

Grrrr....()W#(*&!@

Hey, I thought since I'd joined I'd better submit something, even if poor D'Argo is a bit old! ;-)

My first choice for a submission was Pilot. He's a piece I'm still very proud of, but I'd like to have a better scan before I do. The original is *still* in a box, but a scan of one of the few glossy prints I have left might work. I just have to find them! XD

Glad you like it -- D'Argo was probably the most fun to do. There wasn't a spot on him that didn't have some kind of rich texture that made it challenging.
