My wonderful husband outdid himself.

Right now we're in Orlando, Florida, putting our feet up after a long day spent at EPCOT. If you attend any Disney park on your birthday before December 31, 2009, you get in free if you regisiter online in advance! This was the first real vacation we've had in years without our kids, so it feels a bit like a second honeymoon. It was really hot -- hotter than normal for October, I hear -- but we had a blast! We really enjoyed the food and wine tasting festival...what's not to love about a tropical breeze, munching on exotic foods and listening to great music (I need to hunt down an "Off Kilter" CD)? We found a few great gifts for our son and daughter (which I won't name here because they may read this before we get home), I got a wonderful Tigger sweatshirt among other things, and it was a fantastic day. I got enough "Happy Birthday" wishes to last the rest of my life!

Tomorrow we're headed to Tampa for dungeness crab legs, a bit of shopping and a walk on the beach before we fly home on Thursday morning. tells me the weather at home is nasty, so I'll have to suck in all the sunshine I can in the time we've got left.

Good vacations help shake the cobwebs out of your brain. And this has been a terrific one.
